Usage analytics
The Usage section of every map answers the question organizers ask on the first morning: are people using it, and what are they looking for? It covers the last 7 days and compares them with the 7 days before.
What is counted

Each tile shows the change against the previous 7 days (“+63% vs prior 7 days”). The bar chart shows loads per day; hover a bar for the date and count.
Top searches
The terms visitors typed most, with counts. Two ways to act on them:
- Turn the top terms into suggested searches in Map settings, so the next visitor taps instead of typing.
- A term with many searches and few place views usually means the thing is not on the map or is named differently in your catalog (“toilets” versus “Restrooms”). Add the row, or add the word to its description so search finds it.
Usage is per map and needs no setup. Kiosk loads and directions count under the map the kiosk belongs to.
Frequently asked questions
- How many people used my event map?
- Open the map in the dashboard and scroll to Usage. Loads is the number of times the map was opened in the last 7 days, with the change against the week before.
- Can I see what attendees search for on the map?
- Yes. Top searches under Usage lists the most-typed terms with counts. Promote them to suggested searches, or fix a term that finds nothing.
- Does the dashboard show kiosk usage?
- The Directions tile says how many routes were started from kiosks. Every kiosk load counts under its map's Loads.
- Can I get usage over a longer period or as a file?
- The dashboard shows the last 7 days. Ask your Waygo team for a longer report, or read the usage endpoint of the Maps API from your own systems.
